This Privacy Policy explains how QR scanner handles information when you use the Android app. It is prepared for a Google Play listing and may be updated as the app evolves.

1. App Overview

QR scanner is an Android application that lets users scan QR codes and barcodes, scan codes from images selected on the device, create QR codes, and keep scan history. The app is intended to provide practical code scanning and code management features.

2. Information We Collect or Process

The current version of QR scanner is designed to work primarily on your device. Depending on the feature you use, the app may access or process the following information:

• Camera input: Used to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time. Camera frames are processed for scanning functionality.
• Images you select: Used only when you choose an image from your device to scan a QR code or barcode.
• Scanned or generated code content: QR code or barcode values may be saved in local scan history if you use history-related features.
• Network status: Used to understand whether network-dependent actions can be performed.
• App settings and preferences: Used to remember choices such as language, scan settings, and local feature preferences.

We do not require you to create an account to use the app.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide QR code and barcode scanning features.
• Read codes from images that you intentionally select.
• Create QR codes from supported content.
• Maintain local app settings and scan history.
• Open supported actions, such as web search, Wi-Fi settings, sharing, or contact-related actions, when you choose them.
• Improve app stability, security, and user experience.

4. Local Storage and Retention

Scan history, generated code information, settings, and preferences may be stored locally on your device. Local data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear app storage, uninstall the app, or use any deletion feature made available in the app.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

QR scanner does not sell your personal information. The app may share information only when you choose an action that sends information outside the app, such as opening a scanned URL, sharing scanned text, searching the web, inserting a contact, or opening system settings.

When you use third-party apps, websites, browsers, email clients, or system services from QR scanner, those services handle information according to their own privacy policies.

6. Permissions

• Camera: Required for real-time QR code and barcode scanning.
• Internet and network state: Used for actions that require connectivity, such as opening links or network-backed features.
• Vibration: May be used for scan feedback if enabled.
• Photo or media picker access: Used only when you select an image to scan from your device.

7. Advertising and Future AdMob Notice

The current version of QR scanner may not display advertising. However, we plan to add Google AdMob advertising in a future version of the app.

When AdMob is added, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interaction data, diagnostics, and other information needed to deliver, measure, personalize, limit, and protect ads, depending on your device settings, consent choices, region, and Google policies.

Future advertising may include personalized or non-personalized ads. You may be able to control ad personalization through Android, Google, or in-app consent settings where available. 8. Analytics and Crash Reporting

If analytics, crash reporting, or diagnostic tools are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the provider, the data collected, the purpose of collection, and available user choices.

9. Children

QR scanner is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information handled by the app. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Data Deletion Requests

You can delete locally stored app data by clearing the app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app. If you contact us about a privacy request, we may need enough information to understand and respond to your request.

12. International Users

Your information may be processed in the country where you use the app and, when third-party services are added or used, in other countries where those service providers operate. Data protection laws may differ by region.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of QR scanner after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
